Like a dove painted red, she flies away from me
Life is love, but love is pain, so where’s the meaning
Ruby red goes my sight, as every breath is filled with moans and sighs
All I’ve ever done is bleed it out
I bought another cage to keep you

Seeing red now, she’s in my head now
Pain comes from passion
Blood dries, blood blackens
Her feathers fall, the colors fade
All her pain is washed away
White again, as she should be, my bird will go her own way
But I can’t stand this ghost of mine
This bird that stayed just to claw out my eyes
